Douro Cuisine
Much more than a compilation of recipes, this book is full of images, scents and flavors found at Douro Wine Valley. Guided through the lenses of Nelson Garrido, and by the sensorial track of memories and old flavors that populate Rui Paula culinary creations, the reader is transported to one of the most beautiful Portuguese regions. Released in 2008 by Quidnovi, sponsored by Sogevinus, written by Celeste Pereira and available both in Portuguese and English, Rui Paula’s book won the Gourmand World Cookbook award in the category of First Cookbook.
Rui Paula
A Cuisine in Oporto
Awarded in 2015 as Best Cookbook in Portugal by the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards, this book addresses Rui Paula’s return to the origins, with local inspired culinary suggestions. The traditional Douro influences made way to an urban inspired rurality, focused on sea and world products which equally carry on old memories. Released in 2010, the book brought Chef Rui Paula, Nelson Garrido and publisher Quidnovi together again but this time with the sponsorship of Rozès brand and Pedro Garcias’ writing.
